Trip number four🇬ðŸ‡ðŸ‡¬ðŸ‡ðŸ‡¬ðŸ‡ðŸ‡¬ðŸ‡
I've just been Kenya 🇰🇪 it was a joy to see a volunteer trip through teenage eyes and help them hopefully get a love for Africa and volunteering.
And to see the part of the fundraising that goes on the project.... In Kenya this was to build the new kitchen ... Nearly completed when we left.... Buzzing 🧡
This trip changes lives both for the community of Woe and the volunteers.
So far, I've helped to, repair the canteen, decorate classrooms, inside and out, dug a well providing a source of drinking water at school, created a children's playground to encourage attendance, offered a variety of sports and delivered many, many lessons. This is a powerful trip and each visit offers something different. The community have so little but offer so much love, joy and hope. Any pennies that you can spare will make a difference. we achieve so much in the space of ten days.
The impact starts the moment you arrive at ‘The Young Shall Grow International’ which is a flood with foster children who were taken off the streets and who remain here to be nurtured. This is before you even start the volunteering experience at Tegbi EP school. I will be taking donations out with me again so go through your cupboards. Things that are great, football kits, clothes, stationary, balls any shape or size, sanitary towels..... These are spilt between Tegbi school, The young shall grow international and the local community of Woe. Thank you as always for your interest, support and taking time to read my posts.
