Kicking around in Kenya with Jack and his African Adventures

Hello, my name is Jack Cameron and I am 15years old. I am over the moon to have been successful in being selected for an trip educational trip to Kenya with African adventures.
The area I am most interested in is teaching and sports coaching. I feel I have a lot to bring to the role and would make a difference to the children in Kenya.
I have experience in coaching and leadership, in school and externally. In school I am a young leader and part of the Darlington School Partnership group. I have worked with children of all ages and abilities, mainly primary school age and have helped run leadership sessions for a variety of sports, and school games. Externally I have assisted with football coaching for Darlington FC Youth. As part of my options at school this year I have chosen PE studies, I feel that what I learn from these lessons I will be able to use in Kenya.
Externally from school I am also head ball person at Darlington FC, this involves looking after a group of up to 10 children on a match day, ensuring they know their role, their position around the pitch and checking in on them during the game to ensure they are ok. On match days I have also carried out some pre match football coaching with younger children. My long term career goal is to become a sports physiotherapist, and I have shadowed our club physiotherapist on match days, so know the importance of warm up and warm down, which will be essential for sports sessions in Kenya. My school work experience is also with Connect Health the NHS physiotherapy department. I feel the basic skills I will pick up there and at the football club could help me with sports coaching sessions in Kenya. I have also attended football sessions since the age of 2 and joined a team as soon as I was old enough. I currently play for Hurworth Albion where I have also assisted in training the younger age groups.
